St. Patrick’s Day Spring Cleaning!
With the warm weather approaching and the days getting longer, March is the ideal month to get organized. Crystal Cleaning provides St. Patrick’s Day spring cleaning tips to give your home a fresh feeling.
Simple Spring Cleaning For St. Patrick’s Day
Throughout the year, homes get filled with clutter and disorder. Whether it’s food crumbs in the kitchen drawers or the many items upon the nightstand, there are ways for us to give a deep cleaning to our homes, so you have bright and clean spaces.
Here are some areas that you can clean and some advice on how to clean them.
Kitchen
Refrigerator Exterior Cleanup
Use a mixture of salt and seltzer water. The fizziness of the seltzer water combined with the grainy consistency of the salt makes it a fantastic cleaner. You can use this mixture for cleaning both the inside and the outside of the fridge.
Shiny Faucets
The perfect way to remove buildup near the faucet is to place paper towels over the fixture and soak it with vinegar. After that, let the vinegar sit for about an hour. As the buildup softens, it becomes manageable to remove.
Dishwasher Freshness
Pour baking soda on a damp sponge or towel and apply it to the edges of the dishwasher to remove stuck-on food or stains.
To clean the inside of the dishwasher, run an empty cycle with your detergent and add a quarter cup of bleach to the regular dish cycle. This process kills bacteria. Your dishwasher is now sanitized and ready for use.
Oven Cleaning Made Easy
To keep the oven clean, add a nonstick oven lining to the bottom of the oven. This type of liner works best because a paper towel cleans it. You can also wash it in the dishwasher and reused it again and again.
Bedrooms
Bed Linen Revival
Rest easy and wash your bed linens. We recommend you use warm water rather than hot, to avoid shrinking fibers. Ready to invest in new lines? Changing up linens and comforters to a lighter neutral color will give your room a modern look.
Clutter Cleanup
Look around. Do you have items on top of your dresser or nightstand? What about clothes or shoes you aren’t wearing anymore? Donate or store items you haven’t used in the past six months.
Dust a Little, See A Lot Less
Dust and clean all tops of surfaces and wipe down the edges and bases of all your furniture. Be sure also to dust any accent lamps or other decorative furniture or surfaces. Therefore, the simplest option is to use a damp cloth.
Window Washing
Clean windows with a soapy rag and water. Then, use a second rag to dry the window. After that, use a windshield squeegee to do the same job with more efficiency.
