Quick Cleaning Tips for your Home or Office

Last week’s blog post discusses ways to clean four crucial areas at your residence. But, the house isn’t the only place that needs to feel like home. Consider using the following quick tips to clean your Pinellas County or Tampa Bay office, too. Crystal Cleaning dedicates their time and energy, so you don’t have to. Follow these quick cleaning tips for your home or office until your next visit from Crystal Cleaning Janitorial Services.

Dusting (10 minutes)

The amount you dust your house weekly depends on how dusty your home gets throughout the week. Of course, this is the case with your office, too. I tend to give my office space and my bedroom a quick dusting every day to keep up with it, and so the rooms smell fresh.

I then move onto the living room at home, and I dust all surfaces as I move to the conservatory, the stairs, and finally the home office. Electronics are notorious for attracting dust, so I make sure I dust electronics every day.

 Vacuuming (15 minutes, maybe less)

Vacuum the areas of your home or office that need it most—vacuuming more than once a day is sometimes necessary if you have a dog or cat that sheds. A cordless, lighter, bagless vacuum cleaner is convenient for those everyday projects.

Bathroom Touching-up (5 minutes at the office, 15 minutes at home)

Clean the sink and bathtub (if applicable) by spraying a cleaner and allowing it to sit. Then move to clean the toilet. Flush the bowl and add cleaner and let it soak. Then head back to the sinks and tubs, clean them, and rinse them out with warm water. Come back to the toilet, scrub it with a brush and flush it again. Use antibacterial wipes in the bathroom for quick cleanups. Finally, make sure all the mirrors in the bathroom are sparkling clean.

Mopping the floors (5 minutes)

Have a bucket with clean water and disinfectant-ready for when you need it to save time. Mop the kitchen and bathroom floors first. If you have wooden floors in the rest of the house or office, use a wood floor cleaner.

Finishing Up (10 minutes)

This step is much like the first where all you do is making sure everything is in order. Spend about 10 minutes checking every room to see what is not yet done. You can also use this time to make the beds and write down some of the cleaning supplies that might be running out.

More Quick Cleaning Tips for your Home or Office

People who have bigger houses or offices, use another 15-20 minutes to clean the extra rooms. If you have a small apartment or office, you may be able to cut the times suggested above in half!
