As more states move toward reopening their economies, there has been an increased demand for janitorial services to clean commercial spaces opening after prolonged closures.
Ahead of the Curve with Vapor Sanitization
Pinellas County businesses are rethinking their cleaning strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sanitizing surfaces have become more of a priority. Companies are looking to implement rigorous daily cleaning regimens to ensure the continued safety of customers and employees.
These procedures have led to a new demand for disinfecting technologies. Some janitorial services companies are exploring using techniques such as sterilizing fogs or mists and using ozone machines to destroy virus particles. These methods have the advantage of disinfecting hard to reach spots that get missed when applying topical cleaners—minimizing the risk of exposure to janitorial staff. Crystal Cleaning is already ahead of the curve with vapor sanitization technology.

Crystal Cleaning’s Fogging Machine Technology
With the power of Blue Ox MAXX, there is nothing that can stop Pinellas County businesses from thriving in a post-COVID-19 world. Blue Ox MAXX is a concentrate featuring the deep-cleaning strength of hydrogen peroxide.
Here’s how it works: after a thorough cleaning and disinfecting, Crystal Cleaning delivers Blue Ox MAXX Ox. This effective fogging spray has deep sanitizing power. Overall, large areas are entirely reached with this process! It reassures you and your customers that we take every step to protect your business from deadly viruses.
The fogging system consists of a hydrogen peroxide solution, kept at a low-temperature, to form a sanitizing vapor spray. The vapor fills the sterilization chamber, penetrates the device, and releases a safe gas that sterilizes exposed surfaces.
The STERIS V-PRO Decontamination Cycle is capable of processing ten respirators at one-time through a process that takes approximately 28 minutes to complete. Each respirator can process up to 10 times for single-user reuse.
Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor Used in Hospitals to Sterilize N95 Respirators
The FDA declared another emergency use authorization (EUA). It allowed hospitals to decontaminate compatible N95 respirators using vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilizers.
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar chimed in on the usefulness of hydrogen peroxide for sterilization in hospitals. “It’s another important step forward in reducing shortages in critical N95 respirators, allowing for these important devices, when decontaminated, to be reused by health care personnel on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Authorizing this sterilization system will make it easier for hospitals to ensure that heroic healthcare workers on the frontlines have the protection they need.”
The FDA granted an emergency use authorization to STERIS Corporation for the STERIS V-PRO 1 Plus, maX, and maX2 Low-Temperature Sterilization Systems. These systems use the STERIS N95 Decontamination Cycle (non-lumen cycle), which uses vaporized hydrogen peroxide.
