Post-Construction Clean-Up by Crystal Cleaning

Post-construction clean-up services include a broad scope of cleaning tasks. These tasks range from sweeping, dusting, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning and scraping windows. Other projects may require removing large construction materials, disposal of hazardous materials, hard floor care and grout sealing, carpet cleaning, and driveway sweeping. Other jobs include detailed cleaning of chandeliers, blinds, high-end furnishings, vaulted ceiling light fixtures, and beams, to name just a few. In this article, we discuss post-construction clean-up by Crystal Cleaning.

Three-Phase to Post-Construction Clean-Up Work

There may be three phases to post-construction clean-up work: the rough clean, light clean, and final clean. Some jobs may require only one step, while others may need all three. Drywall dust, dirt, and debris get on all surfaces and into every nook and cranny of the cabinets, ledges, window sills, and fixtures. In this article, Crystal Cleaning does it all, including detailed cleaning after the dust has settled.

Crystal Cleaning provides residential post-construction and renovation cleaning by completing the following:

First, we remove extensive construction material and debris, putting them into the on-site dumpster. Then, we sweep or use a heavy backpack vacuum to remove construction dust and smaller debris, starting high and working your way down. We also vacuum the insides of cabinets as dust gets inside and along with the corners and edges. After that, we dust or wipe down surfaces such as walls, door frames, ledges, and stair rails.

We start with cleaning chemicals such as all-purpose cleaners, stainless steel cleaners, or window cleaners in the bathrooms, kitchens, and countertops in other areas. Remove stickers from fixtures and clean the insides of cabinets and drawers. Next, we clean windows and window frames. We sweep or vacuum hard floor surfaces and wet mop, making sure to remove all drywall mud and paint. Detailed cleaning includes vacuuming the carpet, including all edges. We also remove all drywall mud and paint. Some rugs might need extra attention if the contractors didn’t provide enough protection from dirt and debris. Lastly, we perform a final walk-through of the location, touching up any areas as needed.

Inspection Form and Walk-Through

We use an inspection form to list the rooms that have had final cleaning performed. We will go through your rooms, asking that you sign off on the final cleaning notice. In this way, we know that you are a satisfied customer!
